 “Arab Jazz” is a novel written by Karim Miské .The novel investigates the question of mixity (hybridization). It takes place in the 19th district(area)of Paris which is a disadvantaged district. The main characters of the novel are Ahmed and Laura. The book deals with the issues of drug dealing, ethnicity and religion. The Jewish and Arab communities gang up (bunch up/cluster/gather)and they have never mixed in the history of religions. Today’s divisions are rooted into the history of religion and colonization. Colonization has widened the gap (the disparities) and it has divided people.
