Lil Back has become the most famous jookin dancer. He is from Memphis. Jookin is a mix between hip-hop and ballet. Hip-hop dancing was born in underprivileged (disadvantaged) areas in the street whereas ballet is classical dance which represents white privileged (upper-class / working-class / wealthy / rich) people.  They dance to be recognized and to belong to the mainstream society. He dances on stage today whereas he used to dance in the street in unofficial places. He dances to denounce (to debunk / to oppose / to fight against / to struggle against) stereotypes (prejudices) about black people. It looks aggressive (violent) but to remind people of lynching and violence against Black people. Black people used to be lynched. They get together (gather / gang up) as dance crews to remind people of Black History. It is a way to fulfill their dream and to exist.
